My approach to representation

If you’ve been hurt in an accident, or as a result of a mistake by your doctor or another health care provider, you may feel scared, confused, and unsure where to begin when it comes to your health and financial recovery. Instead of trying to solve these problems on your own, reach out to discuss the details of your case and we can discuss your options.

There is no cost to you to call to talk about your case. I have been working in this area of the law my entire career. I am licensed in Missouri and Kansas and do cases frequently in both states.

I practice in these areas:

  • personal injury cases
  • car accidents
  • medical malpractice, such as unnecessary surgeries or misdiagnosis
  • nursing home abuse or neglect, including withheld treatment or medication
  • truck accidents involving semi-trailers and other heavy equipment
  • motorcycle or bike accidents
  • products liability
  • mediations and arbitrations

Practice Focus

Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect

Sadly, too many nursing homes do not provide the quality care that we expect for our loved ones. Your family member may have suffered bed sores because staff members failed to turn them frequently, or they may have fallen due to inattention by nurses and other staff. A nursing home can overlook your relative, fail to provide them with meals and medication on time, and simply leave them to be neglected. Call me if you suspect there have been problems. Your loved one deserves justice.

Medical Malpractice

When doctors and health care providers make mistakes, families suffer. Birth injuries often result in lifelong disabilities and high hospital bills. A misdiagnosis can leave you dependent on costly medical care.

It’s your right to be compensated for losses like these. When you or someone you love has been injured as a result of negligence of medical professionals, a qualified medical malpractice lawyer will help you determine whether medical malpractice has occurred. This is what I do every day: use my expertise to help Kansas City families and people put their lives back together after a medical mistake.

Car and Truck Accidents

If you or a loved one have been injured in a car accident, you know how invaluable the advice of an experienced personal injury lawyer is. I can help you note only to understand complicated auto insurance policies, but I can also navigate medical treatment, lost income and the other consequences of your injury. If the other driver has insurance coverage, a representative of his insurance company will likely contact you and ask you to discuss the details of the car accident. Before doing so, make sure you have an attorney by your side.

If the other driver was working for a company at the time of the accident, it may be possible to bring a personal injury claim against his employer. If the other driver did not have insurance, it may still be possible for you to receive compensation for your injuries if you had uninsured motorist coverage on your own insurance policy. If the other driver had some insurance but not enough to fully compensate you for your injuries, you may be able to make a claim on your own policy if you had underinsured motorist coverage at the time of the accident. I have extensive experience and knowledge of those auto insurance issues.

If you or a loved one are involved in an accident, be sure to obtain the other driver’s insurance information. Also, take pictures of the scene and take down the names of any witnesses. If possible, insist on having a police officer respond to the accident scene to write a report of the accident.

There are many traps and reasons to be cautious about trying to handle your own personal injury claim. If you have been in an accident, be diligent about your legal representation.
